New Playground for Trinkaus Park

At last night’s board meeting, the Village Trustees approved the installation of a new playground generously donated by Miner Realty and Property Management LCC and Apex Playgrounds LLC.

Both Rome-based companies have ties to the Oriskany community and became interested in the project after the outdoor movie night fundraiser this summer.

In their letter to the village, Apex Playgrounds explained “This project aims to provide the children and families of Oriskany with a safe, engaging, and updated play space. The equipment provided is durable and designed to promote physical activity and social interaction, contributing to the overall well-being of our community.”

Miner Realty echoed these sentiments in their own letter, stating “We are excited to support this project and look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on the community.”

The new equipment will replace the existing play-set in Trinkaus Park near the Oriskany Museum at 420 Utica Street, which was installed circa 2001. The project broke ground this afternoon and is scheduled to be completed over the coming weeks.

The village and both companies hope the new playground will serve the community well for many years to come.
